I realize there is some frustration about the policy of no-service on e-bikes other than Pedego, so I want to take a minute to share why we focus our resources to support Pedego and decline to service other electric bike brands.
1. Repair Parts availability
2. Tech Support and Training
3. Liability if something goes wrong
4. Battery fire hazard from cheap batteries
5. Reduced support for Pedego owners if time and resources are redirected
6. Likelihood of abandonment when repair costs exceed value of cheap bike
After the tire tube shortage resolves we can resume same day flat repairs, but it is still a bad idea to keep off brand batteries overnight, even in the cabinet, because we don’t want to lose our batteries either!
