A leather saddle is the most comfortable way to ride. In fact, it’s the only truly comfortable option for any serious riding over five miles or so.
The leather will form to fit your sit bones in time, and it creates a hammock-like effect that doesn’t hurt when you ride. Springs provide extra cushioning for upright riding.
It’s true that they’re expensive, require a “breaking in” period, and must be protected from the elements, but it’s all worth it!
This is what we use on our bikes. We were skeptical at first, but now we’re believers.
